24 de abril de 2024, marca el inicio de nuevas autoridades en el Ayuntamiento de Santo Domingo Este (SDE). Con el lema Santo Domingo Este se levanta, Dio Astacio inicia su anhelado viaje por la Alcaldía.
Después de un arduo y batallado trayecto, donde tuvo que construir su imagen política, participar como candidato en las elecciones de 2016 por un partido minoritario, demostrando que debía ser tomado en cuenta, posteriormente unirse al PRM y competir en las internas de 2020, finalmente Astacio participó y ganó las internas en 2023, logrando con el gran respaldo del presidente alcanzar su objetivo en 2024.
Dio Astacio navegó por el complicado terreno de la política con un objetivo claro, y lo logró. Como Juanita, llega con una maleta cargada de promesas y propuestas, de nuestra parte, esperamos que la mayoría de ellas se hagan realidad.
Desde ahora, le deseamos los mayores éxitos en beneficio del municipio. Contará con nuestro apoyo y destacaremos sus logros y aciertos a través de los medios y plataformas que ocupemos. De la misma manera, después de los primeros 100 días, ejerceremos como fiscalizador honorífico de la circunscripción 2 de Santo Domingo Este.
A través de nuestras redes y espacios de participación, el alcalde y los concejales (regidores) de la circunscripción 2 contarán con un aliado en lo que respecta a las buenas acciones y, al mismo tiempo, un fiscalizador crítico de lo que necesitamos y de lo que no se haya cumplido.
Por último, deseamos el mayor éxito posible al nuevo alcalde de Santo Domingo Este y a los concejales (regidores) de la circunscripción 2. Durante este periodo, recibirán información de nuestra parte, felicitando y promoviendo todo lo positivo, y denunciando y reclamando todo lo negativo.
