Santo Domingo, RD. – Este próximo domingo 29 de octubre el partido Opción Democrática (OD) proclamará a Virginia Antares como su candidata presidencial para las elecciones de 2024.
La presidenta de esa organización política Minou Tavarez Mirabal, manifestó este miércoles que para el partido es una alegría y un compromiso con el futuro, el proclamar la candidatura presidencial de Virginia Antares.
“Como mujer, como política y como una militante de Opción Democrática, me llena de orgullo y mucha ilusión que presentemos a la sociedad dominicana una opción presidencial como la de Virginia Antares, una militante del primer día de este partido, así como, además, una ferviente activista de las causas que han movió al pueblo dominicano en las últimas décadas. El compromiso de OD sigue siendo presentar a la sociedad dominicana las y los candidatos más capacitados”, afirmó Minou Tavarez Mirabal, presidenta de OD.
Para este domingo 29 de octubre, está convocada la Asamblea Nacional de esa organización política en calidad de Convención Nacional, para elegir y proclamar las candidaturas que este partido pretende llevar a cabo para las elecciones municipales, legislativas y presidenciales a realizarse en el próximo año.
Se recuerda que en abril pasado Opción Democrática realizó una consulta interna donde todos los integrantes de la organización podían postularse para la nominación presidencial, y en la cual Virginia Antares recibió el apoyo del 97% de los votantes que participaron del proceso.
La proclamación de la candidata está pautada para las 9:00 a.m., en el Auditorio de PYHEX y están llamados a participar al menos 441 delegado
