La Segunda Guerra Mundial marco el hito hacia un nuevo orden mundial. Estados Unidos se erigió como la gran potencia militar de la guerra. Convirtiéndose como el principal actor estratégico mundial.

Asi mismo, la Unión de Repúblicas Socialistas Soviéticas (URSS) se puso al día y retuvo el control en gran parte de Europa del Este, provocando un orden de mayor confrontación. El poder de la URSS motivo la creación de la Organización del Tratado del Atlántico Norte (OTAN) un enlace militar y diplomático entre EE.UU. y Europa Occidental.
Luego de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, se crearon bajo consenso, las Naciones Unidas (ONU), y el sistema económico internacional de Bretton Woods, el Banco Mundial y el Fondo Monetario Internacional. Lo que genero el desarrollo de un orden internacional muy distintivo durante las décadas de crecimiento de los años 50 y 60.
La disolución de la Unión Soviética y la caída del Muro de Berlín
Con la caída de la URSS, que se materializa con el derrumbe del muro de Berlín, se estable un sistema multilateral de cooperación internacional, pero también, la hegemonía de los Estados Unidos.
Esta hegemonía, es el factor de desarrollo de un sistema internacional, que permitio la ejecución de distintas normas internacionales. Principalmente, el fuerte reconocimiento del liberalismo económico y político.
La Pax Democrática, parecía haber ganado el mundo. Formularon conceptos como “la responsabilidad de proteger”, “La Seguridad Humana, y “el Derecho a la Injerencia Humanitaria” toman fuerza, Por lo que, se reconoce que el sistema multilateral en auge se basaba en instituciones de mayor interferencia en los temas de Estado. Como también la creación de los tribunales penales internacionales.
La Globalización.
La globalización o para muchos, el neoliberalismo global, en donde, el capitalismo a través del consumo, el mercado sustituye al Estados en muchas de las funciones de la economía. La integración de las economías, las deslocalizaciones de las empresas y el intercambio comercial convirtieron a los Estados en interdependientes, sacando a gran parte de la población mundial de la pobreza.
La Globalización también trajo consigo el desarrollo de los medios de comunicación, el internet y redes sociales, se conviertieron en la principal via para opinar. Dando paso a la creación de identidades multidimensionales que le dan nuevo sentido a las personas, trabajo desarrollo e integración. Fortaleciendo discursos de Derechos Humanos, democratización y el movimiento LGBT en gran parte de los paises principalmente de cultura occidental.
En conclusión, el actual orden mundial ha sido un proceso evolutivo marcado por el final de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, identificado por polarización de dos bloques, que generaron la creación de un sistema económico internacional y político, mediante organismos internacionales reconocidos por la mayoría de los Estados.
Dicho orden, alterado por la caída de la URSS, afianzo en gran media los valores occidentales, con el desarrollo de tratados y normas internacionales, motivados por la hegemonía norteamericana.
Finalmente, modificado por el proceso económico y comercial de la globalización, que acelero, la libertad y promoción de las ideologías liberales que impactan los individuos sobres sus deseos y toma de decisiones con relación a su persona.
